Tough times don’t last, tough people do!

My post today is a very special one and the one that is near and dear to me. This is based on someone who inspires me since I was little. This post is dedicated to my aunt who has had tough times in her life. She has two lovely kids, and had a blessed married life. She lived in a traditional joint family in India, with her in laws, husband and kids. Until one sudden day her brother in law suddenly passed away. He had two girls. After her brother in law passed away, my uncle took his brothers kids under their wings as their mom (brother’s wife) got married to someone else leaving her girls behind for my uncle and aunt to take care of them.

So now they had my uncle, aunt, their two kids (a girl and a boy) and their brother’s two girls to take care of. A few years later, my uncle suddenly passed away and my aunt was the only bread earner for the family of four kids. She is a teacher and she worked hard day and night to give those kids all that she could including good education, getting the two girls of her brother in law married and settled into their lives.

Today her daughter is getting married and stepping into a new life. I bow to my aunt for managing all this by her self, getting all her children educated and settled single handedly of course with the help and support that she needed from her extended family. I am miles away from her but I cannot stop thinking of how much I admire this women, her accomplishment, her motivation to keep going through the toughest of times, all with a simple smile on her face. I love you aunty for all that you are. Always there for you no matter how far I am. My best wishes on this special day for Konica (her daughter) who is getting married today. May God always bless you all…..love you and keep smiling šŸ™‚
