Believe or not, nobody expected the lockdown in 2020 was going to last this long! We have been working from home since March 2020 along with our now almost 2 year old little munchkin and frankly it isn’t easy at all. The summers however have been a bit easier to manage as thankfully we have a little mini garden in the backyard and to our surprise our little boy enjoyed every bit of his time in the back garden. I feel so lucky to have moved into this house recently (Spring 2019) and it’s the first time we have a little garden of our own.
We have always loved nature and wished to have a garden so we could grow our own. To start with, we had no idea about planting or gardening. Well, of course it’s not rocket science! We started slowly and there were a few rounds of trial and error. We started with flowers and what best to start than spring blooming “tulips“. It also represents love. Basically, it’s just a waiting game with gardening. You plant something and then wait for it to successfully grow. Obviously the soil and temperature matters. We were so happy to see our tulips grow in the garden. We had a big smile looking at them growing and a feel of sense of achievement. Thereafter, we decided to grow more flowers, vegetables and fruits in our garden. (All that to follow in the upcoming blogs).
Below are a few clicks of tulips from our summer garden in 2020. Hope you like these pictures.
