William Shakespeare, possibly the most famous writer in English language and known widely for this play Romeo & Juliet was born in a medieval town of Stratford upon Avon. One of the best things about living in England is to visit all these places and imagine how it would have been years ago.
We visited several locations including Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Anne Hathway’s Cottage and Gardens (wife of William Shakespeare), Mary Arden’s Farm (mother of William Shakespeare), Tudor World (Museum). There is so much to cover in this little place which is filled in abundance with history. One thing to notice was how nicely the national trust have maintained the houses and museums and the way they narrate tales taking us back in time to imagine how things would have been back then.

Lastly we visited the spectacular Warwick Castle. This castle like the town itself is rich in history and very well preserved. There was a play at the castle which was beautifully enacted by the locals followed by the bird show. It was worth visiting this historic town!
