Cotswolds is one of the best places to visit in England if you fancy a charming countryside. South Cerney is one of the villages in the Cotswolds district of Gloucestershire. It’s a village surrounded by 140 lakes. It was August, my hubby’s birthday and one of the many reasons for us to travel and celebrate, so we booked a lodge. It was summer of 2017. The holiday park where we booked was Hoburne Cotswolds Holiday Park.
As soon as we reached I made a cuppa for myself (Hubby had this chilled beer) and we sat at the Lodge to admire the view. It was so relaxing just sitting there with no TV, traffic noise, away from the hustle and bustle of city life and admiring nature, sounds of birds, pleasant weather and a cup of tea! What else do you need in life?

We then started with a walk in the holiday park and surrounding areas. It was so calming and relaxing, it felt like we were in a different world altogether. This is one of the many reasons why we need to take a break from our usual routine and sit back and relax. Nature truly has so much to offer!

We also visited this village called Bourton-on-the-Water. It is also known as the Venice of Cotswolds. A village known for it’s low bridges and traditional stone houses.

The Village also has this impressive model village which is a tourist attraction. It’s a replica of the village built with little shops, gardens and houses. I was astonished looking at this beautiful little miniature village. It is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Cotswolds is an alluring place to visit, we bet, once you visit you will feel like coming back to it. We try and visit to one of it’s scenic villages ever year to de-stress ourselves and relax in the beauty of nature.
